Family Time

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior!

We had a busy, but wonderful weekend!

Saturday started off with a 3 hour long worship practice for Sunday's services. Then Sharon, came and visited our place to see what new things we've done and added to it. Later, Sharon and I made a quick stop to the nearest thrift shops to try and find some treasures. That evening, I prepared 3 appetizers and rolls for Sunday. I'll share those appetizers later this week.

Sunday, we led worship for both services at church and then drove about an hour to Mackenzie's Aunt and Uncle's. We spent it with his Dad's side this year. I do miss my family as I haven't seen them since the wedding but, because they live in California and North Dakota, it's not as easy to just pop on over and spend time with them. We spend a lot of time on the phone. :) But, I am so excited because we'll be going to North Dakota this summer to see my mom and California for Christmas to see my Dad and Sister!

Here are some pictures of our time with Mackenzie's family.

Here's Sharon and I at the start of the party. Isn't her new blouse so cute? I think blue and green look so good on her!

Mackenzie's Grandma Alice and cousin Monique.

Some of the guys catching up.

The hosts, Stacey and Jim! They were so nice to open their home to us!
(Sorry the picture is so dark!)

And here we are!

I have a few questions for you all out there, what did you do for Easter and is your family near or far?

Glad I stopped here today! I enjoyed reading through and looking at pictures. Our family had a great Easter. Went home to spend it with both sides. Glad to hear yours was good.

Brittany, It looks like you had a really fun time with Mackenzie's side of the family. Sharon's top is really pretty, as she is herself and so are you. I'm glad you get to see your family summer and at Christmas.

Will you be able to come to Kelli's next weekend? I'm asking her if we could have it at our farm. We'll see.

Have a happy day. Love, Kathi

Hi Brittany,

Sounds like you had a great Easter;-) Ours was very quiet. We went to Sunday morning Mass where my girls sung in the children's choir. Then it was back home for a Sunday brunch (breakfast casserole, potatoes, biscuits, and fruit salad). We had a quiet afternoon of resting and relaxing.

In regard to my family...my mom lives close by (she joins us for most holidays). My dad passed away in 2001. I have some aunts and uncles nearby. My own siblings are all several hours away, but we usually manage to get together Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Mother's Day.

Have a great day! Blessings!

We stayed home for Easter and my parents came down from Michigan to visit. Both sets of parents live out of state. :(

We just went to church service then spent a nice day together. Avery was telling me about John the Baptist:) My son accepted Jesus as his savior at church on Sunday, so that was big

Oh, and I found your profile through Fay. Is she your grandma? You have such a fun family! Makes me homesick for mine! I am in Cali and they are way over in Utah. I work here now. Take care!

How fun! Sounds like you have had a busy weekend.
We live in the same town that we both grew up in, so both families are here. We use to live a couple hours away so I know how it feels to have to travel most of the weekend. We usually have one of the holiday events for lunch and then we have the other side for dinner. That way we get both sides done in one day.
I love all the pictures. Hope you have a wonderful day!

We had such a great time! I am so happy that we were all together. I loved that new game we played! The best part of Easter is that we are remembering what Jesus did for us!

I love your smile in that last picture with Kenz, you look so beautiful!

I love you! Sharon-Mom

It looks like you had a great time. My sister and her family came down from Idaho. So we had a great time with them. My husband's parents live 5 houses down so we saw them, and then my mom lives 3 miles away so we spent time with her too.

XOXO

Brittany, it sounds like y'all had a wonderful Easter, spent with family.

I actually cooked my Easter Ham dinner the day before and we just enjoyed a quiet and relaxing day. On Easter we went to church and then we went home and had lots of yummy leftovers to enjoy. Most of my family live far away.
