In yesterday's post, I told you I would talk about the appetizers I brought to our family's Easter celebration! So, here you are!
First I made a spinach dip. This has always been a favorite in my family and I thought it would be nice to introduce it to my husband's family. The nice part about this recipe is that it is so easy! No cooking required. Plus the presentation in the bread bowl gives it 2 thumbs up! FYI, this is a different type of spinach dip than the Artichoke/Parmesan Spinach dip found at many restaurants. Both are very good.
You use the Knorr Vegetable Soup mix in this recipe. If you haven't used the Knorr soups in recipes yet, you'll have to try it! They have all kinds of wonderful recipes at their website.
Here's the recipe for the Knorr Spinach Dip:
For the bread bowl, just buy a round loaf of bread and cut out the center leaving a bottom layer. Cut the cutout bread into squares. Serve with bread or vegetables. Enjoy!
Here's the recipe for the Knorr Spinach Dip:
- 1 package frozen, chopped spinach, drained and squeezed dry.
- 1 package Knorr's vegetable soup mix.
- 1 16oz container sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3 green onions minced (optional)
- 1 small can water chestnuts (optional...I left these out)
For the bread bowl, just buy a round loaf of bread and cut out the center leaving a bottom layer. Cut the cutout bread into squares. Serve with bread or vegetables. Enjoy!
I also made deviled eggs (sorry you can't see too many left in this picture) and a really simple salsa over cream cheese. Everything was so tasty!

Your appetizers look yummy, Brittany;-) I use that very same recipe when I make spinach dip. In fact, I have the ingredients to make it on hand right now. I plan to bring it to a piano recital reception that we're attending soon. You're right...it is easy and so good!
Have a great day.
Blessings!
Good morning Brittany,
Your appetizers look yummy! My DH really likes the bread bowl dip. I've made that before using Knorr's, & he always raves about it. (I don't eat dip!) I cheated too, on the rolls. Used "Rhodes" rolls. They're the next best thing to real. I did, however, make sticky buns from scratch. My family insist that I make them for every holiday!
Glad you had a wonderful Easter. I enjoyed seeing your pics. :o)
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Mardell
I am going to have to try this recipe. It looks amazing!
Oh yum, I love spinach dip! Thanks for sharing the recipe. :)
I've always wanted to make spinach dip,I'll have to try it now since I know it's easy.I have made the cream cheese with salsa before and that's really good, except I mix mine up and then no one wants to eat it cause it looks kinda gross. It's ok though that just means there's more for me.:)
looks like you did a great job....Barb
Yum girl! You are making me hungry, and I just had a HUGE dinner :)
My goodness, I could feast on all of that!
Finger foods and appetizers are my favorites.
What a great day you had with family!
Wow, looks like you did a great job cooking for Easter. I am going to use the bread bowl and dip recipe for our work birthday parties. I like to try new recipes on them because they are all very honest.
Don't worry I always cheat on making the rolls. Sometimes I can even mess those up.
Hope you have a great day!
Your yummy food looks delicious Brittany. Have a lovely evening. Kathi
Mardell-
I hope you had a wonderful Easter as well! I believe "Rhodes" were the rolls I made! They turned out really well and were delicious with melted butter on top.
The sticky buns sound so good. Were they cinnamon or pecan?
Have a blessed day!
Brittany
I love that spinach dip recipe too, it is SO GOOD. DH doesn't like the water chestnuts either, so I have to make some with and some without...either that or chop them really fine. LOL Suz
I can testify that Brittany's appetizers were delicious! You did such a great job! I really loved all of them. You are a great housewife!
love you!
Mom
