Completion!

I'm so excited to share the pictures of our finished cabinet to you! I feel like it adds a very special touch to our home! I'm not sure if what I have displayed in the cabinet is going to stay that way, but I like how it looks for now. I really like how the white pieces stand out against the red. What do you think?

Here's a view of it with our orchid picture and set table. We were having our friends over for dinner. I made chicken tortilla soup, yum! I'll share the recipe soon! Notice that the sconce is a little close to the cabinet. I'm planning on moving that.

And finally, the view when you walk through the front door. We decided to paint an accent wall the same red color. I think it really ties everything in very nicely.

Thank you so much for all your advice on the colors. Now, I'm thinking about getting something to place on top of the cabinet. What do you think? A sign, a vase? Any ideas? Do you think it would be better to just leave it empty up there? Just so you know, I do not like clutter or too many things in one spot. So, lets keep it simple!

Have a blessed day!

That is so beautiful! You guys done a very good job with it. I have a hard time decorating the top of things like cabinets. You could do a basket maybe and it would serve as extra storage. A sign would be a great idea as well.

Hi Brittany, I think it looks fabulous!! I was going to suggest that you move your sconces a little closer in to the picture, but it looks like you already thought of that! Good for you....and for the top of the cabinet, you might consider a mantle clock in black....I have the thought of one in my head, but you may not know what I mean. I sometimes have "visions" of things that might work and they are so totally hard to find......sorry! I like the accent wall, too. Keep up the great work!

Oh it looks so great!!! So warm and cozy and adds a bit of that wonderful rich red color to the room. The accent wall looks just right not too over powering but just enough of that warm color. You and your husband did a really excellent job, looks brand new and beautiful!

Have a wonderfully, blessed day! =)

I love the pop of green at the bottom- you could always vary what you have green in there too- like a bowl of green apples- or limes- it just looks wonderful- Love the red ! I am inspired to do a project now!! Ps I forgot about your orchid painting- it is stunning!

Perfect! Brittany I am so glad thqt you both decided to go with the red. That was my first thought when you were asking about thoughts on redoing this cabinet. Yes I do think
you need something on the top. But just one piece.
A larger piece.
Thanks for showing us.

Gorgeous! Great job!!!

IF you want to put something up there, I think I'd put a plant with long branches hanging.

It looks fabulous just the way it is though. =D
