Today I'm sharing "How Deep the Father's Love for Us." written by Stuart Townsend.
***Please pause the music on my sidebar before watching the video.

How deep the Father's love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

This song was laid on my heart earlier this week and we'll be singing it at church today. This song is so powerful to me. It truly reminds me that the love our Father gives us is so deep. I love the last few lines "Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom." We do not deserve the love God has shown us. This song convicts me to give God everything I've got. We owe that to Him.

May you be blessed today and have a wonderful time in worship with God!

DEAR SWEET BRITTANY,
A BEAUTIFUL OFFERING UNTO THE LORD.
I WEEP WHEN I THINK WHAT HE DID FOR ME...IT IS SO PERSONAL TO ME....BECAUSE I/WE WOULD NEVER EVER BE WORTHY AND IF HE WENT TO THE CROSS FOR JUST ONE PERSON...ALL OTHERS REJECTING HIM HE WOULD STILL HAVE GONE TO THE CROSS....PRAISE YOU PRECIOUS LORD
BLESSINGS
hugs

First, thanks again for doing the praise and worship each week. I really enjoy thinking of a new song every week! Also you will be so proud that this week I was able to upload the video for the song, thanks again for your tech help.
Also I love this song, it fits so nicely with the sermon today on thinking about what the cross really means and how God would have sent his son if only for one person.
Thanks again have a blessed day!
