My First Award!

Mrs. Ruiz at Still Learning has awarded me with this "Honest Scrap" award as long as I share 10 things about myself that are interesting....Well, here goes!
  1. My parents went through a divorce when I was 12 years old in the middle of eighth grade. I took it so hard that went into a depression. I tried several "worldly" methods and even sought counseling. The only thing that got me through it was, at the time, my new relationship with Jesus Christ. Praise Him!
  2. I was baptized at the age of 6 but truly gave my life to Christ when I was 12. At the age of 21, I decided to get baptized again as an adult.
  3. I am a huge worry wort. :) My husband says I worry enough for the both of us!
  4. I was born with my umbilical cord wrapped around my head! Blue as a blueberry! hmm that's why I turned out the way I did! :)
  5. I moved up to Oregon, right out of high school at the age of 17, with my best friend. I just wanted to have a change of environment and don't regret my decision one bit! Oregon is so beautiful!
  6. In the midst of my parent's divorce, I also started having panic attacks and struggled with those for 5 years. Guess what happened? Yep, tried different prescription medicines and the only one that helped was the Lord Jesus Christ. He really works wonders.
  7. I help lead worship at my church and have been singing my whole life.
  8. My husband and I created a CD together. Our group is Voice to Spirit and the album is called "Songs for a Broken City". It's a worship album in an electronic style.
  9. I'm finishing school but a passion that I have always had is to be a stay at home wife and mother. That role will come when we're ready to have kids! Until then, I'm helping to support our little family.
  10. God has truly blessed me with such a wonderful family and amazing friends. I don't know where I'd be without all their support.
So, there it is! Hope it was interesting! I'm supposed to pass this on and some of you may already have it but here you go anyway! You don't have to do it if you have already!

Hi Brittany! I liked reading ten things about you. I never knew about the panic attacks until just about a week ago. I am so sorry that you went through that sweetie. I am so happy that God has healed you and completed your life. It is kind of neat to think I was praying for you back then when I didn't even know who you were! Have a great evening! What's for dinner tonight? We're having left overs.

Love you!

We have quite a bit in common! My parents divorced when I was 15 though. Equally hard and I had the panic attacks too, and there was only one cure for me as well! I am so thankful for the unconditional love of our father as that is what got me through many difficult times. Thanks for sharing with us all!

Hi Brittany! Love your blog! Your home looks beautiful decorated for Chrismtas. So pretty. I'm a worry wort too; moreso since I became a first time mother 20 yrs. ago. I try to remind myself that it's all in God's hands. :o)

Take care & have a great weekend.

Thank you Mardell! That's so nice of you! I try to do the same thing when I worry. God always comes through! It's funny how after the fact, I wonder why I even worried in the first place!

Take care and have a Merry Christmas!

Brittany, I'm so sorry about the panic attacks. I'm so thankful for the power of God to heal.

I love your CD. I wish I could put your songs on my play list hint hint.

I know if you happen to notice the time that I'm commenting that it is about 2:30 am. Well, that's what happens if your husband snores. LOL
Sometimes I can't sleep through it. They say though, that the the sound a widow misses more than ever is the sound of his snoring. I never take his snoring for granted or him. I love him even if he snores. Smile. Have a wonderful Sunday. Love, Aunt Kathi
