Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Don't forget to wear green today!

We made "Leprechaun Traps" with our students yesterday. It was fun
to see them create their traps and get excited about them.

Below are a few pictures of the traps.

Here are some "facts" about Leprechauns before you see the pictures
  • They like green
  • They like shamrocks
  • They like gold
  • They like lucky charms
  • They do not follow signs
Keep these "facts" in mind as you take a look at the pictures.
The first one was the one I made to give an example to the kids.

I'm assuming this leprechaun must be very small to fit into that glass bottle.
There is actually "gold coins" inside the bottle but since they don't follow signs...you get the idea!

Next are some of the kids' traps.

They'll be looking forward to seeing if they trapped any leprechauns today!

Have a great day! Will any of you be eating Corned Beef and Cabbage?
I don't care for it, so we won't but I might try to incorporate lots of green into our meal!

What a cute kids craft. I will have to keep that in mind when Mary gets older. No we won't be having corn beef and cabbage tonight. We like it, but I forgot to buy corned beef. So, we will have to have something else:)

very cute!!!

at our school leprechauns "visit" the pre-school, kindergarten and 2nd grade rooms, but they always "skip" my 1st grade room. my cherubs always wonder why. so as not to be seen as a party-pooper, i tell them that i buy leprechaun insurance and the leprechauns have to leave us alone.

What a cute craft. When I taught kindergarten, I would always try to trap the leprechauns, but he would also get loose and destroy the classroom. We did have corned beef last night at my parents, I was surprised it was pretty good. Oh, you will have to drop by my blog I am giving away a copy of the Love Dare book. Hope you have a great Tuesday!

How cute, Brittany! I loved doing St. P's Day stuff when I used to teach. :o) In all honesty, I totally forgot that today was that holiday or else MG and I would've made something, LOL! But, and this is where frazzled mommy brain is most evident, we made Irish potatoes (a Philadelphia candy tradition) the other day for Ed's work guys...oh my, I need a new memory, haha!

Have a happy week, girl!
