Hey everyone! I hope you've all had a great, relaxing weekend. I had to work. :( However, I did get a chance to catch up on my blogging and say hello to all of you!
By the way, thank you so much to the SITS "Welcomistas" who visited my blog these last few days! I've felt so welcomed by all of you!
Today we'll be going to church, having a worship team meeting, helping our grandparents install a new TV, and then going over to Mackenzie's parents for the weekly "Dinner and a Movie".
I titled this post "Worship and Praise Sunday" because I wanted to start a new weekly post that you all can join in on!
As some of you may know, Mackenzie and I are on the worship team at our church. We feel so blessed to be a part of the wonderful team at our church. Music is a huge part of our lives and what better way to share the gifts God has given us than to use them for His glory and worship Him?
So, for "Worship and Praise Sunday", I am going (and would like all of you!) to share a new worship song each week and say a bit about what it means to me (you!) .
I'd love it if you'd join me! If you'd like to, here are the guidelines:
Worship and Praise Sunday will take place each week on Sunday but I will post on Saturday evening so you can have a chance to post a little early if you'd like!
Today I'll be sharing the song "Everything" by Tim Hughes
***Please pause the music in my sidebar playlist before listening to the video.
God in my living
There in my breathing
God in my waking
God in my sleeping
God in my resting
There in my working
God in my thinking
God in my speaking
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
God in my hoping
There in my dreaming
God in my watching
God in my waiting
God in my laughing
There in my weeping
God in my hurting
God in my healing
Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
You are everything
Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
Be my everything

We've sung this song many times at our church and it is so powerful. "Be my everything". That is what I want God to be in my life. Everything. It's sounds so simple but really is so hard to do. I get distracted by the everyday things of life that I forget to make the Lord my EVERYTHING. Praise Him when You wake and before you go to sleep. Praise Him at work and at rest. Praise Him when you're happy and when you're sad. That's what this song says to me. God is in every portion of our lives. It's important to remember that He does care about the small stuff. He cares when we get excited about the little things in life and wants us to share it with Him.
I encourage all of you to make God your everything. That's definitely a challenge for me and I'm going to do my best to do that this week.
Please join me in Worship and Praise Sunday! I'd love to see/hear the worship songs that you'd like to share!

Hi Brittany!
I love your Praise and Worship Sunday idea! I just wrote my daughter an e-mail and told her she should introduce herself to you. She has sung in church for years and served on our church's praise and worship team as well. We have a gigantic church with thousands in attendance. LOVE your song choice today! And I love your faith, honey, and your desire to serve.
Have a beautiful, perfect week with that handsome husband of yours!
xo...Kathy
