The other night, I made shredded beef tacos. This is another easy recipe for our busy lives! Myself included! I forgot to take pictures of the whole process, so I'll just tell ya!
Here's what you need for the shredded beef:
1 sirloin round roast
1 package taco seasoning
1 cup water
foil
In the morning, prepare by placing 1 cup water in the slow cooker. Wrap the thawed roast in foil. Before fulling wrapping it, sprinkle seasoning on top of roast. Place the foil wrapped roast in the slow cooker. Turn on low for about 7 hours.
When the meat is finished. Saute onions and add meat and juices (the juices will be in the crockpot with the meat) to skillet. Shred beef with a fork. It is so tender that it doesn't take much to shred. Mix onions and beef.
Then, just prepare whatever taco toppings that you desire and you have a nice meal! I added some extra taco seasoning to the meat and onions to give it a little more flavor.
I hope I explained this enough for you!
Enjoy!

Good morning Brittany,
Well, now that really looks GOOD!! It can't get much easier (or tastier) than that! Thank you so much. I think you explained it very well. :o) I am going to give this a try this weekend.

I did something similar with the same meat but made mine into enchilladas:)
Thanks Mardell! My parents made it for us a lot growing up! Hope you enjoy!

I am going to make this soon I love anything I can do in a crockpot......Barb
That looks wonderful! Why do you use the foil? Does it keep it moist? I bet they were delicious!
Have a great evening!

Oh yummy. I love that kind of food. Have a great evening Brittany. Kathi
Thats really interesting that you use foil in the crock pot. I have never heard of that, but will have to give it a try :)
Sharon and Rosemary,
My parents made this growing up so I use foil because that's what they used! But, I believe it is used for two reasons: so the meat won't stick to the slow cooker and to keep the juices in.
Thanks for asking!
Brittany
